Patriotism. Parliament, Work.

Every Independence Day[15th August] Or Republic day[26th January], I See Millions of Flags. No Not on Homes or Buildings. But On Facebook. On People’s walls. As Their Profile Pictures. Or Just at Random Pages Getting Shared by The Umpteen Number of Teen Kids With Nothing To Do On a National Holiday.
These are the days when the Patriotism of our Generation is seen. Most of them to do It to Be ‘In The Crowd’, Or they’d be Left Out. Some Are Genuine too, But that’s a Real Small Number. What I don’t Understand is. WHY?
Why To Show Your Patriotism on just these two days? Why Does Anyone Need to Put Up Status’s to Show that you Love your Country. Or That you’re Proud of the Country’s Armymen and Soldiers fighting for the country.
Shouldn’t this Feeling be inside Everyone of us, For Every Single Day of the year?
Shouldn’t the People Who Show that they’re proud of the Country, be enraged at this moment of time when the elected officials of our country, The Members of Parliament, Would Not let the parliament Run When there are bills of utmost importance waiting to be introduced and to be passed?

I, Personally, Was Very Happy When Millions of Indians Got Down on streets With National Flags to Support the Jan-Lokpal Movement. Whatever views I Might have had about Anna Hazare and His teams Lokpal Bill, That was Secondary. Even Though Most of the People Had no Idea Why they were Supporting Jan-lokpal Or What it was, I was Happy Because Inside Them, They Had a Bit Of Realization That this Jan-Lokpal Would Bring a change to the Society, To The country and That it was a good thing for them and they Must Fight to Get it Enacted Since it is a Democracy of Ours.

Every Single Member of Parliament Knew What Importance the Winter Session had and What Important Bills had to be Introduced and Passed Even then, After 10 days of the Session, They have not Let the Parliament Function Because of the Political Reasons behind the FDI Retail. What I don’t Understand is that, These 800 Odd MPs, Who have been selected by the 1.2 billion people of the country, and are intelligent themselves, can’t have serious debate in the House? Why Should they stop the functioning of the House. Now if they were all Children Studying in Primary Sections Even then these acts might not have been justified.
Even a 17 year Old like me Knows what should be done in this situation. They are grown ups. Why can’t they just sit and talk about it?
The Various Bills which are pending and need to be introduced are :

The Lok Pal Bill, 2011: Provides for the establishment of a Lok Pal for inquiring into corruption complaints
The Public Interest Disclosure and Protection to Persons Making the Disclosure Bill, 2010: Seeks to protect whistle-blowers
The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Bill, 2011: Gives statutory status to the authority
The Judicial Standards and Accountability Bill, 2010: Requires judges to declare assets and lays down judicial standards
The National Food Security Bill, 2011: Seeks to provide food and nutritional security by ensuring access to adequate quantities of quality food at affordable prices
The Mines and Mineral (Development and Regulation) Bill, 2011: Proposes to set up a benefit-sharing regime for mining companies to share profits and royalty.

About Time When a Normal Citizen of the country realizes what needs to be done and does something about it.
What I say, Opposition, if You think you are right, then sit down. And have a talk with The Government. Your Votebank Politics can work later. Let the Bloody parliament Run.
The Government, Introduce the Bills. Settle the Dispute. You’re the government. Work For the people, Or You’d Be thrown out.

Its The Parliament of My Democratic Country. Let it Work.
Its For the People, By the people.
Don't Kill it.

If You were offended, Kindly Close the Tab and Move on, Because its Just the viewpoint of a 17 year Old.
