The Lokpal And Kisan Baburao Hazare!

“During an interview at India gate where a huge number of supporters of lokpal bill assembled, a journalist asked people about 'JANLOKPAL BILL"...

Journalist: how do you feel about this movement?
Person 1: I feel amazing.. Anna Hazare is doing the Right Thing!
Journalist: What do you think about Lokpal bill?
Person 2:Errr. . .(Long Pause) Vande mataram! “

“Person 1: I support Anna Hazare. He’s Doing Right For the Country.
Person 2: How? Why?
Person 1: He Cares about the country, he Went to jail For His Bill and Because Government Didn’t Listen.
Person 2: What Actually is the Bill about? I haven’t heard about it.
Person 1: Its about Reservation Removal For SC/ST/OBC”

“All the Autorickshaw Drivers in delhi went on strike on 17th august 2011 to Show their Support For anna hazare. Anyone who has ever been to delhi or lived in it and has traveled by these auto’s, That there are less than a 1% of the Drivers who would charge you correctly and according to the meters. Its funny to see one of the most corrupt showing support for lokpal, it doesn’t matter whether they know what is lokpal or not.”

These aren’t Just stories Which I’ve made up and Wrote. These are real Life instances Witnessed by Me and My Friends. In a Country With More Than 1.2 Billion People, There Are more Followers than Leaders. And This Time Around, With Kisan Baburao Hazare, More Popularly known as Anna Hazare, Sitting on A Hunger strike for the Government to accept his version of the Lokpal Bill, There are Millions Following him Without Knowing What is Lokpal And Without Knowing The Contents of the Lokpal Bill.
Now First of All, What is the Lokpal bill? The Jan Lokpal Bill (also referred to as the citizens' ombudsman bill) is a proposed Anti-Corruption law in India. It is designed to effectively deter corruption, redress grievances and protect whistle-blowers. If passed and made into law, the bill seeks to create an ombudsman called the Lokpal (translation: protector of the people) - an independent body similar to the Election Commission of India with the power to investigate politicians and bureaucrats without prior government permission.

First of all lets Talk About Kisan Baburao Hazare, Or I shouldn’t Offend A large section of the Society and Instead call him Anna Hazare. So Anna Hazare, Born in June,1937 Is recognized For his contribution to the development and structuring of Ralegan Siddhi, a village in Parner taluka of Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra, India. A Padma Bhushan Awardee In 1992. He Has received Education Upto 7th Grade and Then he Got Employed Selling Flowers.
I Do Not Say That Anna Hazare is A wrong Person. He is a Brilliant Guy and He has done a lot in the Matter of Gram Sabha’s, Removal of Untouchability, Collective marriages, Building the village Ralegan Siddhi Etc Etc.
Where I do not support him, is the Matter of the Lokpal.
Also, Read A post about him and The fasts he's doing in today's Newspaper which enraged me.http://www.telegraphindia.com/1110817/jsp/nation/story_14386100.jsp

As Most of Us, Who have studied the Subject of Civics in our Grades 9 and 10. Know that there are three tiers of the Administration as Set By The Constitution of India The Executive, The Judiciary And The Legislature.
All these Three tiers Function Independently with Only a Little Support From Eachother. They are all Largely Independent But Only a Little level of interdependency. There is a system For Introducing Bills and Making Laws In the Country. Anyone Who isn’t a member of these tiers, Cannot Make Laws in the Country.
Corruption Isn’t a new Thing In the Country, Or Rather In the Whole World. Its Been Since the mythological times of Ramayana and Mahabharata. It was Present When Jesus was on earth too. It isn’t a new phenomenon. So there is nothing Which Can Eradicate it completely. Because it’s the people Who are corrupt First, Then the politicians. If the people stop Giving Bribes, then The corruption automatically stops. It wouldn’t happen in a jiffy. It would take time for that to happen, But eventually it would. Just Instigating people Wouldn’t do a thing.
Okay Okay, Before You all Take out Your Swords And start Blasting Me out, Let me First Compare the Government’s Draft along with the Civil society’s because Most of You have no Idea What The Bill is about except that it would aim at Killing the corruption.

Lets talk about The issues which the Government’s Draft and the Civil Society’s Bill have and are not able to agree with.

  • Prime Minister
Civil Society: Lokpal should have power to investigate allegations of corruption against PM. Special safeguards provided against frivolous and mischievous complaints
Government’s Draft: Prime Minister Should Be Kept out of the lokpal’s Purview
Why Not? As of today, corruption by PM can be investigated under Prevention of Corruption Act. Government wants investigations to be done by CBI, which comes directly under him, rather than independent Lokpal.

  • Judiciary

Civil Society: Lokpal should have powers to investigate allegation of corruption against judiciary. Special safeguards provided against frivolous and mischievous complaints
Government wants the Judicary to be kept out of the Lokpal’s Purview.
Why Not? Having Lokpal investigate the Judiciary fouls the existing structure of the judicial review process. This is dangerous.
  • MP’s

Civil Society Lokpal should be able to investigate allegations that any MP had taken bribe to vote or speak in Parliament.
Government Doesn’t want the MP’s to be included.
Why Not? According To the Section 105 of the Constituition of India, MPs have certain legal protections for their actions in the Parliament. Lokpal cannot supersede this clause.

This Bill Is Naïve in its Approach to Combating Corruption. This Bill Will Lack Accountability, Oppressively And Undemocratically. The Bill States That no proceedings or decision of the Lokpal shall be liable to be challenged, reviewed, quashed or called in question in any court of ordinary Civil Jurisdiction, so this means that if The lokpal gets corrupted, A Civilian Can’t Do anything and That Will lead to a civil war.! Vesting jurisdiction over the length and breadth of the government machinery in one institution will concentrate too much power in the institution, while the volume of work will make it difficult to carry out its tasks

I am not against Lokpal, I am all For it. I am just against The way Anna hazare is handling the situation. Yes, Arresting Him was a stupid Decision made by the government and that only instigated the people more but that is a different thing though I agree that the government should have had a different approach. But still, Anna Hazare is wrong in his place too. You Cannot Hold a Country Ransom And Blackmail the Government That if You do not pass my bill then I won’t let the country run. There is a supreme court which would keep a check on the government and ensure that the government works according and under the constitution but if you blackmail the government, there is no one that can help you.
For instance, the government takes back all its opposition and passes Anna’s Bill, then what? If the lokpal goes corrupt what option would the people have? When You Bring all the systems under the Lokpal then doesn’t Lokpal himself become a dictator? And if Anna’s bill is passed, Any tom Dick and Harry popular with the masses can Make any Kind of Bill or Law and The Government has to pass it because it passed Anna’s Bill. The Government doesn’t run with the present in mind. It also has to take care of the future. If Anna hazare is so popular why is he afraid to stand in the elections? We all are taught in schools that if you want to change something, Get into the system and then change it. Why is Anna hazare allowed to stay out of the system and Do things unlawfully? And Most of all Why The People Who have No Idea About Lokpal, Getting on the Roads and Supporting Anna Hazare? Have We Gone Too Insane To Support anything?

The Emerging Players Tournament And Indians In England

While the Indian Cricket Team Is Getting Hammered All over In the home of The Birthplace of Cricket, England, People Have Easily Overlooked the Brilliant Performance By the Emerging Players Indian Team In the Emerging Players Tournament Going on in Queensland, Australia.
Though There was Much Criticism at the Selection of the Squad selected to play in the tournament especially the selection of Anirudha Srikkant Who is the Son Of the Chief selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth. The Criticism Was mainly Because This tournament being in A 3-day matches Format, And Anirudha Is Known to have been a good player of T-20’s And Limited over’s matches rather Than The Longer Version of the game. The Selectors said that it wasn’t The Chief Selector who had suggested the Name of his son And The Selectors didn’t knew About the Change Of format of the tournament from Limited over’s to 3-day matches.! This Is Surprising and Shocking Both at the same time Since The ICC’s Chief at the Present Moment is Sharad Pawar, The Ex-President Of BCCI[Board For Cricket Control In India] and The BCCI Being One of the most Powerful Boards in the Sport Of Cricket, This Sounds like A Lame Excuse.
Still This Team Has Performed Exceptionally well Defeating the Australian Team, The New Zealand Team and Nearly Defeating the South African Team. The Stars of these Wins, Shikhar Dhawan, Manoj tiwary and R Vinay Kumar Among others who were denied a Place in the India Seniors Squad to Play In England showed their mettle in this tournament.
Its Rather Discomforting to know that Since N. Shrinivasan and Krishnamachari Srikkanth. Came On board of the BCCI, The Chennai or the South Camp Has Been Selected in the major teams despite Other People Having Better Performances from the Other Areas of the Country. Murali Vijay, Badrinath And Abhinav Mukund have Failed to capitalize on the Chances Given to them By the Team Still They’ve Been selected over and over again.

When The Indians Went To England To take part in the 4 Match Test Series And The 5 Match ODI Series, There wouldn’t have been Much people Who Would have thought That This Tour Could Be One sided Towards England As it has been till now. And That Expression Was Also Shown by the Indian Team in the First Test When They Took all the Wickets of the English batting Line up at the score of 221. But the Exceptional Performance by Stuart Broad Ensured that India Could Never Come back in the Match and the Indians Lost the First test.
The second Test was dominated completely by the English with They Winning It Comfortably. This test had its share of Controversies with Michael Vaughan Alleging that VVS Laxman Had Vaseline on his bat and The Controversial Run out of Ian Bell and then His recalling by the Indian Captain M.S. Dhoni.
M.S. Dhoni’s Choices and Decisions have Been critisiced as much as his dismal performance both behind the Wickets and In front of them.

Ninety-nine Tests over 28 series. Seventy-one ODIs. Two Twenty20 internationals. Not one of these matches played between England and India has been for the top prize in cricket. It is slightly strange that in what is essentially a nine-team sport these two teams have never been close to the top at the same time. Yet The English Team Is making a Mockery of the Number 1. Test Team of the World and the World Champions.
It has as much fault of the Indian Cricket team As the brilliance and amazing performance of the English Team.

This is the Heart Of Life,Its Just Like A hunting Knife.

All those lonely whispers are back again.
Run through your mind and make your chest pain.
Trying to figure out whatever you can gain.
But it gets washed away by the heavy rain.

All those moments are whiskered away.
Try to move on but you always stay.
Can't get your eyes open for one time,
It all seems to be a victimless crime

Cause this is the heart of life,
Its just like a hunting knife.

All the shiny stars seem to be fading.
And you just keep on degrading.
You got one question and its why,
Did she ever have to say goodbye.

After some time you get over it,
You get up on your feet and recommit.
Sometimes you may come back to this road,
But now it will be easy cause the story's told

Cause this is the heart of life
Its just like a hunting knife
