The Emerging Players Tournament And Indians In England

While the Indian Cricket Team Is Getting Hammered All over In the home of The Birthplace of Cricket, England, People Have Easily Overlooked the Brilliant Performance By the Emerging Players Indian Team In the Emerging Players Tournament Going on in Queensland, Australia.
Though There was Much Criticism at the Selection of the Squad selected to play in the tournament especially the selection of Anirudha Srikkant Who is the Son Of the Chief selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth. The Criticism Was mainly Because This tournament being in A 3-day matches Format, And Anirudha Is Known to have been a good player of T-20’s And Limited over’s matches rather Than The Longer Version of the game. The Selectors said that it wasn’t The Chief Selector who had suggested the Name of his son And The Selectors didn’t knew About the Change Of format of the tournament from Limited over’s to 3-day matches.! This Is Surprising and Shocking Both at the same time Since The ICC’s Chief at the Present Moment is Sharad Pawar, The Ex-President Of BCCI[Board For Cricket Control In India] and The BCCI Being One of the most Powerful Boards in the Sport Of Cricket, This Sounds like A Lame Excuse.
Still This Team Has Performed Exceptionally well Defeating the Australian Team, The New Zealand Team and Nearly Defeating the South African Team. The Stars of these Wins, Shikhar Dhawan, Manoj tiwary and R Vinay Kumar Among others who were denied a Place in the India Seniors Squad to Play In England showed their mettle in this tournament.
Its Rather Discomforting to know that Since N. Shrinivasan and Krishnamachari Srikkanth. Came On board of the BCCI, The Chennai or the South Camp Has Been Selected in the major teams despite Other People Having Better Performances from the Other Areas of the Country. Murali Vijay, Badrinath And Abhinav Mukund have Failed to capitalize on the Chances Given to them By the Team Still They’ve Been selected over and over again.

When The Indians Went To England To take part in the 4 Match Test Series And The 5 Match ODI Series, There wouldn’t have been Much people Who Would have thought That This Tour Could Be One sided Towards England As it has been till now. And That Expression Was Also Shown by the Indian Team in the First Test When They Took all the Wickets of the English batting Line up at the score of 221. But the Exceptional Performance by Stuart Broad Ensured that India Could Never Come back in the Match and the Indians Lost the First test.
The second Test was dominated completely by the English with They Winning It Comfortably. This test had its share of Controversies with Michael Vaughan Alleging that VVS Laxman Had Vaseline on his bat and The Controversial Run out of Ian Bell and then His recalling by the Indian Captain M.S. Dhoni.
M.S. Dhoni’s Choices and Decisions have Been critisiced as much as his dismal performance both behind the Wickets and In front of them.

Ninety-nine Tests over 28 series. Seventy-one ODIs. Two Twenty20 internationals. Not one of these matches played between England and India has been for the top prize in cricket. It is slightly strange that in what is essentially a nine-team sport these two teams have never been close to the top at the same time. Yet The English Team Is making a Mockery of the Number 1. Test Team of the World and the World Champions.
It has as much fault of the Indian Cricket team As the brilliance and amazing performance of the English Team.
